now, this is home.

  

i've been HOME for a little over a week.  it's been a crazy whirlwind of emotions.. but mostly good.  my first days back i surprised rich (at OHOP) and jonathan (under the table at chinabowl haha) and spent time with the family, being that God allowed our schedules to coincide to have time to actually be complete. i can't believe that these days my family can only get together on arranged reunions.. so for all of you guys, dont take your families for granted man! love every moment u still have together..

PRECON was fantastic!! i felt a little weird haha but by the end i just felt like an idiot for ever forgetting, even for one second, just how great it feels to be around again. theres so much love here.. i cant even explain. and to top it off the girls pulled off the craziest football victory!! and for some reason i just kept crying a lot. hahaha

nothing else can define home quite like a DINGLE BBQ. nj killed over 50lbs of meat.. im talking steak, pork tenderloins, and chicken.. 50 ice cream bars.. and a 7lb belated birthday cake! by the end of the night, our only leftovers were 3 italian sausages. we also had 5 good rounds of MONSTER!! bigups to joel, karen, gary, richie, and verns! roOoooaaar.. ames & joel like to almost make out by eating popcorn chicken from forks stuck in their hats. hmm?! and jonathan and bj like to break my furniture!! my brother and i woke up the next morning, looked at eachother and just said, "damn last night was mad fun" .. it was the beeeeest birthday ever!!!! good thing we have all summer for more.

and finally, life at home is starting to normalize. i took both my brothers to the airport today. that kinda suuucked.. a lot. except for the part where kuya rob said I LOVE YOU out loud! haha but yah  its just me again. me, my dog, and my fish.. haha. had my first pv meeting at the cfc center since being back.. theres lots to do. and then headed to work.. busy days havent allowed me to even begin to think about how much i miss europe. i havent even unpacked completely.. i remember how much i thought about these moments and these days anticipating being home.. one of the hardest things is when people ask "how was italy" because there's really no way to answer that.. at least, an answer that will do justice. but bottomline is, as ready or not ready as i felt about coming home.. im here. and the real test is now! the journey begins when you get home right? so heeeeeeere we go!!!

DONE. hi my name is monica dinglasan and i am a junior in college with an associate's degree?! that gets me nowhere. but i can technically go fulltime.. ahahahah

so maybe the bulls aren't done just yet.. but guess who is?!!?!? yessss.. !!!! this is the best feeling ever!! it's officially summertime.  but this did not come free!

1) i could NOT sleep last night because there were mosquitos buzzing around my head!! so i tried to cover myself except it would get too hot and i couldn't breathe!! hahaha so i umm.. yeah.

2) i got up and showered to make it to my art history final. we had about 40 different slides and were only being tested on 6 .. and being the smart person i am, decided to study the ones we spent the most time on.. totally SCREWED! studied the term list.. and my professor puts the ones i didn't know! SCREWED!! and we were all so sure what essay was gonna be on it.. and once again, SCREWED!! she decided to crap on all of us!!  but it's okay maybe i'll still get an A.. hahaha

3) we head to the bus stop to make our next final. after waiting about 15 minutes we realize a bus and a porsche got into an accident therefore the road is totally blocked, and it is not easy for vehicles to maneuver around here so ... guess what. BUS IS NOT COMING! final is in 10 minutes!! so we run to the station and split a cab.. had to go through the back of campus and have them open the gate for us.

4) lastly, my italian final decided to kick my ass!! it was definitely one of those exams where you get frustrated and want to stand up and throw your pen against the room.  but it's okay maybe i'll still get an A.. hahahah

actually it's aaall okay coz schools out!! yippee!!! PAAAAAAARTYYYYYYY!!!

sigh.. i think i jinxed it.. it's all good.. the return of the glory days are still a bit far..we don't wanna get ahead of ourselves too much. gotta be patient! especially when we're still young.. but congrats to ben gordon, this year's 6th man!

two days ago i found out about brad and angelina (diiiiiiirrrrrtyyyyy..) and i also found out about katie holmes and tom cruise.. (thats not fair.. she gets pacey AND tom cruise.) yesterday i heard that orlando bloom is single.. and that jen and ben might be pregnant?! and then today i found out michelle williams IS PREGNANT with heath ledger's baby! SO MUCH CHANGE!! i dont know if i can handle it. hahahah

my face hurts. hahah im sunburnt! yeah man, no joke. i went hiking through cinque terre on sunday.. about 9 miles up, down, and through five different and unique towns along the italian coast. AMAZING! now im kinda burnt.. but im still white. i donno!?

my girlfriends and i met at this piazza with a fountain and arches yadayada.. and we're all sprawled out on the grass, going through our utopian literature books.. and we just suddenly stopped and realized how cool of a moment it was. it was an amazing day outside. we were in florence.. studying out by the fountain and this arch that was built years before america was even discovered! i mean really, how crazy is that..

moving on...! ahaha

10 things i can't wait to go home to:
* losing myself in my bed with four pillows
* 10am weekday mornings with pacey and joey
* sushi and hooters wings
* english mass! aaall the time. or maybe just english everywhere
* HUGS.. and im only talking about the reeaally good kind
* unlimited, nationwide long distance after 7pm. [this one's all you junie]
* tennis with my dad and bald counterparts
* CRAPPING IN MY TOILET
* my baaaaby babe!!!
* a COMPLETE dinglasan family.. but who knows when
